Ground Frame: Worlds
11/01/13 || gk
2nd EP from this modern metal band from Finland and this is some crappy music. It’s like there’s almost no thought given to actual songwriting and clichéd genre standards are strung together in every one of the 6 songs here. A pseudo thrash riff, some keyboard fills, a breakdown, melodic chorus sung flat, optional guitar solo, repeat, end song. This is annoying music and when they do stray from this path, like at the end of “Blind revolver” with what I guess was an attempt at some bluesy guitar playing, it just sounds terrible. So, “Worlds” is some pretty pathetic pop metal with pretensions to being heavier than they are.
2/10: Avoid.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
